Our time in Melbourne
fdafd...
Our time in Melbourne was everything we hoped for—relaxed, meaningful, and full of moments we’ll carry with us for a long time. It was a chance to slow down, reconnect, and simply enjoy being together in a place that feels both vibrant and grounding.
One of the highlights was spending quality time with Alex’s family. There’s something deeply comforting about being welcomed into familiar spaces, sharing stories, laughing over meals, and feeling that sense of belonging. Those moments made the trip feel especially rich and personal.
Of course, no visit to Melbourne is complete without brunch. We took full advantage of the city’s café culture, lingering over good coffee, beautifully prepared food, and long conversations. Each brunch felt like a small ritual—unhurried mornings, shared plates, and that unmistakable Melbourne atmosphere that makes you want to stay just a little longer.
Our favourite places include Top Paddock Cafe, Higher Ground and a new found one Hello Sparrow Cafe that covered all of Caro’s pregnancy cravings.
Beyond the city, we made time to soak in the nature surrounding Melbourne. Whether it was walking through green spaces, breathing in fresh air, or simply enjoying the contrast between urban life and the quiet calm of the outdoors, those moments brought balance to our days. Nature has a way of grounding us, and it felt good to move, explore, and be present together.
What made this time truly special wasn’t just where we were, but how we experienced it—unrushed, connected, and appreciative of the small things. Melbourne gave us the perfect backdrop for family, food, nature, and togetherness, and we’re incredibly grateful for the memories we made there.
