After our time in Singapore and Melbourne, we spent the last days of December and New Year in Taiwan with the family, first out was Taipei.
It was such a beautiful way to end the year.
We absolutely fell in love with the food culture. From local breakfast spots and warm bowls of noodles to the lively night markets, Taipei truly feels like a city built around food. Some of our favorite moments were simply wandering through the streets and stopping whenever something looked too good not to try.
What made the city feel extra special were the smaller streets and alleyways filled with local craftsmanship, independent boutiques, and beautiful designs. We loved discovering small shops with handmade ceramics, textiles, stationery, and pieces by local designers tucked away between cafés and older buildings.
Taipei has such a lovely balance of vibrant city life and quiet charm, and spending New Year there with family made it even more memorable.
A beautiful city, incredible food, and the perfect place to welcome a new year.
