Our Final Stop: Tainan — hero image

Our final stop before heading home was Tainan, and it was such a lovely way to end our time in Taiwan.

We had booked a charming hotel in the center, Hợp拍行旅 – 康樂館, Hope hotel, and it had exactly the vibe we had hoped for. The staff were so kind, the rooms were comfortable and fresh, and everything felt cozy and thoughtfully designed.

One of our favorite details in the room was the large built-in bathtub. I had never seen one quite like it before — it even had a small ledge where you could sit, just like in a spa. It made the evenings feel extra special, and we ended up taking a bath every single night. So cozy.

Just like Taipei, Tainan was full of unique cafés and restaurants, which we absolutely loved exploring.

Caro’s favorite was a café with guinea pigs and tiny adorable chicks, which made it feel both unexpected and unforgettable.

Alex had also found several interesting clothing boutiques featuring local Taiwanese designers, so once again we found ourselves happily enjoying shopping and food in equal measure.

And for our final meal, despite all the incredible local food we had enjoyed throughout the trip, pregnant Caro was craving something different.

So naturally, we ended our Taiwan journey with a burger.

A perfect final stop filled with cozy evenings, beautiful design, shopping, and one last memorable meal.
