Singapore: A Wedding, Amazing Food & Baby Shopping

Our recent trip to Singapore was one of those journeys that felt extra special from the very beginning. The main reason we traveled there was to celebrate a family wedding, but the trip quickly turned into so much more—full of great food, family time, and a few very cute baby purchases along the way.

Singapore is a city that truly revolves around food, and we took that as a challenge. From the moment we arrived, we started exploring the incredible local cuisine. We tried everything from comforting noodle dishes to flavorful street food, and it felt like every meal was a new experience. The mix of cultures in Singapore really shows in the food scene, and we loved discovering something new around every corner.

Being pregnant, however, also meant that my cravings were very real. While I loved the local food, I occasionally found myself longing for familiar flavors from home. Luckily, Singapore is one of those places where you can find almost anything. We managed to track down Swedish food (knäckerbröd and filmjölk), which felt like the best little comfort during the trip. Sometimes a familiar taste is exactly what you need when you’re far away.

Another highlight of the trip was, of course, baby shopping. Singapore has so many adorable stores, and we couldn’t resist browsing tiny outfits and soft little essentials. There’s something about seeing baby clothes while knowing your own little one is on the way that makes the whole experience even more special. Let’s just say we may have left with more than we originally planned.

But the most meaningful part of the trip was spending time with family. Weddings have a beautiful way of bringing everyone together, and it was so nice to slow down, catch up, and celebrate such a happy moment. Between the wedding festivities, shared meals, and simply hanging out together, the trip felt full of love and laughter.

Singapore will always be a memorable destination for us—not just because of the amazing food and the baby shopping, but because it was a trip filled with family, celebration, and the excitement of a new chapter ahead.
